Kaiteriteri - popular for generations
Kaiteriteri is a seaside resort village just 13 km from the busy township of Motueka, and 5 km from Marahau - the main gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park.
The wonderful colour of its sands make Kaiteriteri one of the best beaches in the South Island. The golden sands from which Goldensands Holiday Homes gets its name are a result of the weathering of ancient granite rocks releasing crystals of quartz and mica finely ground into glittering golden particles of sand.
Close proximity to Abel Tasman National Park make it easy to join a launch cruise or hire a kayak to experience the beautiful coastline to the north. Tourism operators at Kaiteriteri and Marahau offer planning for park visits. Abel Tasman is New Zealands smallest national park and yet it remains our most popular and is one of New Zealandís Great Walks.
